Out & About

What to do, where to go and what to eat nearby

Fantastic food

If it’s Michelin-starred restaurants, cosy pubs or welcoming tea rooms you’re after, North Cornwall has them in abundance. And if it’s special ingredients to cook back at site, you can pick up the freshest shellfish, discover local delights in farm shops, or taste award-winning local wines and gins. And that’s just for starters!

Beaches

It’s no surprise that most of our guests head to the beach at some point on their holidays. We have world-renown surf beaches like Polzeath (header pic) and Summerleaze within 25 minutes. Then lesser-known coves and classic Cornish seaside towns nearby.

Activities

No trip to Cornwall is complete without a splash in the sea, but if you’re looking beyond that, there is a huge range of action to get involved with. From watersports like surfing and SUP, to boat trips, coasteering, wildlife spotting, walking or cycling, there’s something for everyone.

Attractions

Whatever the weather, we’re well placed to pack your holiday full of fun! Follow King Arthur’s footsteps and explore ancient Tintagel Castle, find out about the darker side of justice at the new Bodmin Jail experience, or gaze up at the palms in The Eden Project’s rainforest biome. And that’s just the start!

Camelford

Just a five minute walk down the track and you find yourself in the old town of Camelford. Find out more about what our home town has to offer – from the welcoming pub to award-winning fish and chips.

It's the little extras that make it

Find out about the extras you can buy, hire or book before arrival. We’ve got breakfast packs from the local farm shop, camping kit to hire, pizza evening packs or even an in-pod massage with a local therapist!
