Down on the Farm
What's it all about then?
Higher Culloden Farm sits in a hidden corner in the heart of Camelford in North Cornwall – it enjoys being both in the countryside and near the action!
We have alpacas, pigs (in the summer months), rabbits, chickens and ducks here on the farm and we love guests joining us for feeding time in the mornings. Adults welcome as well as children!
Campfires and dark skies
We are within Bodmin Moor Dark Sky Landscape and are treated to the most spectacular starry skies at night. Sit round the campfire in the stargazing field and see if you can spot a shooting star to make a wish on.
Down by the water
We have a beautiful stream running along the bottom of the valley. Wander the farm loop walk and stop for a picnic by the pebbly corner, skim stones, play pooh sticks, explore the other side and listen to nature all around. Look out for hidden doors on your way back up the old cattle track, they’re home to the piskeys (Cornish fairies) and there are many local stories of the little folk in this area.
Follow the footpath through the farm joining the Moorland Walk and you could walk all the way to Rough Tor on Bodmin Moor. Alternatively, head the other direction and follow the scenic riverside walk into town.

“Amazing few days spent at Higher Culloden Farm in a glamping pod. So well set up and in beautiful surroundings, yet only a short walk to a lovely village pub & shops.
My toddler slept so well in our pod that we missed the morning animal feeding unfortunately but he loved seeing the chickens & rabbits.”
