Beaches, coves and harbours

From Bude to Boscastle

We have some of the world’s most beautiful beaches in Cornwall nearby, so it is impossible to name them all!

However some of our favourites are…

Trebarwith Strand
Our local beach only a 10-minute drive. Some good surfing and rockpooling when the tide is out.

Widemouth Bay
20 mins up the coast towards Bude, you’ll find the beaches of Blackrock and Widemouth. Great cafés and good rockpooling.

Crooklets & Summerleaze, Bude
Both beautiful beaches with good surf.

Polzeath
Famous for its surf and chilled out vibe. Great cafés and bars too.

Daymer Bay
Some great rockpooling and good for paddleboarding when flat.

Rock
Beautiful views of the estuary and ferry service to Padstow. Great café and pub.

Coves and harbours

There are so many coves and inlets waiting to reveal themselves to you on a walk along the south west coast path. One of our favourites is the short walk along Rocky Valley, then along the coast path to Bossiney where you can reward yourself with a delicious cream tea, before the last few metres back to the car.

Take a wander along the harbour in magical Boscastle. Do pop into the the Museum of Witchcraft whilst you’re there.

The harbour towns of Port Isaac and Padstow are nearby and famed for fantastic seafood. Both are good for activities and leisurely browsing shops.

Lesser-known beauty spots like beautiful Port Quin and Port Gaverne to the west, and Crackington Haven to the north are worthy of a visit too.
