Down on the Farm
What's it all about then?
Higher Culloden Farm sits in a hidden corner in the heart of Camelford in North Cornwall – it enjoys being both in the countryside and near the action!
“A fantastic time had at Higher Culloden Farm. Great facilities, including a clean, well presented sleeping pod, shared kitchen facilities and personal bathroom space. A family friendly and welcoming site. Our son had the best time staying too. We loved the shared camp cookout and fire pit area and the relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.“

Welcome
We, Spencer and India, took over in 2020 (read our lucky story here) and have set off on our journey to self-sufficiency and sustainable smallholding. Share in our adventures on Instagram, Facebook or via our mailing list.
Animals
During your stay, you’re welcome to join Spence for a tour of the farm where you will get to feed the chickens and find out about what’s growing in the community market garden.
Campfires and dark skies
We are within Bodmin Moor Dark Sky Landscape and are sometimes treated to the most spectacular starry skies at night. Sit round the campfire or head down to the river and see if you can spot a shooting star to make a wish on.
Down by the water
We have a beautiful stream running along the bottom of the valley. Wander the farm walk and stop for a picnic by the pebbly corner, skim stones, play Pooh Sticks and listen to nature all around. Look out for hidden doors on your way back up the old cattle track, they’re home to the piskeys (Cornish fairies) and there are many local stories of the little folk in this area.
Wander further
Follow the footpath through the farm joining the Moorland Walk and you could walk all the way to Rough Tor on Bodmin Moor National Landscape. Alternatively, head in the other direction and follow the scenic riverside walk into town.

“Amazing few days spent at Higher Culloden Farm in a glamping pod. So well set up and in beautiful surroundings, yet only a short walk to a lovely village pub & shops. My toddler slept so well in our pod that we missed the farm tour unfortunately but he loved seeing the chickens.”
