This year, we’re shaking things up! Thanks to a recent change in regulations, we’re excited to offer tent camping as well as the pods for 60 glorious days and nights during all the school holidays and select summer weekends. But here’s the twist – it’s not just a normal camping pitch for great family camping in Cornwall, oh no – ours will come with so much extra!
If you’re looking for a campsite with private bathroom in Cornwall, or campsites with en suite toilets, a break with us means just that! Whether you’re a traditional canvas camper or prefer the cosy warmth of a pod, each pitch boasts its own lockable shower and toilet facilities just a stone’s throw away in the facilities block, ensuring privacy and convenience rare in the camping world. No more trudging across the field with towels and toothbrushes, leave them in your bathroom! (Having lost a sonic toothbrush in a campsite shower block in Wales once, this is one feature I can really appreciate!)
Want a cup of tea and toast in the morning without faffing about with a camp stove? No problem! Use the kettle and toaster in the shared kitchenettes where you can also find a microwave, wash-up area, cupboards and a small shared fridge (plus there’s a freezer in the barn for ice packs). This is also where you’ll find USB device charging lockers for the gadgets you can’t live without on your holiday. If you book two or three pitches or pods, you can also have one of the kitchens exclusively for your group (if available).
We’re all about keeping things small and friendly here. So we limit bookings to five at any time currently, to make sure everyone’s got plenty of space to relax on their own, but also spaces to come together and be sociable as we like to think we’re a friendly site. And if the British weather decides to surprise you and you start to regret camping with a toddler and baby (we’ve been there), worry not – thanks to the limit, there’s always the option to upgrade your stay and retreat to a cozy pod instead!
More than just camping
Spread out on your large grass pitch (about 9 x 5m) and immerse yourself in a slower pace of Cornish farm life. Early risers, well those up for 9am, can join in animal feeding with the hens and pigs – a hit among our younger guests who delight in discovering freshly laid eggs. Explore our 15 acres, the fields and stream, wander into town for fish and chips or venture further afield to some of Cornwall’s most famous beaches within 30 minutes. You won’t get bored – unless you want to! Then in the evenings, gather round the campfire to toast marshmallows, get a barbecue going, stargaze on a night walk, or compete in a ping pong challenge in the barn… there’s something for everyone.
Beyond the pitch
Nestled between the north Cornwall coast and Bodmin Moor, Higher Culloden Farm is an ideal base for exploring stunning surroundings. From breathtaking beaches to marvellous days out, adventure is never far away. But how much is it?
For up to two adults and their children, the price ranges from £50-£65pn for the pitch. We recommend no more than six in a large tent on a pitch. A third adult is charged at £15 extra per night. That’s it!
It’s a two-night minimum stay outside school holidays, and during school holidays check in and out is on Mondays or Fridays.

Camping will not show as an option outside these dates. Pods are still available from 29 March through to 30 September.
